My twenty-first book — Life in Verses

This book sets my return to daily poetry after a hiatus of almost one year. Since Destructive Passion (2023, January), I have not written poems related to everyday subjects.

The book's poems were inspired by subjects present in the lives of all people: work, emotions, memories, smiles, etc. We deal with all this daily and overlook their poetry.

Works origin

The content was not originally written to be a book, in fact, the poems were sent to two literary contests: the Jara Carillo Humor Contest and the 42nd Ciudad de Badajoz Poetry Prize, but unfortunately, I was not rewarded.

This is my first book written in Spanish and subsequently, translated into Portuguese and English. I translated into English directly from Spanish; I didn’t use Portuguese as a language “bridge”.

Smiles

For the first time, I wrote funny poems. Since one of the contests was focused on humor, I had to try hard to make people laugh.

I hope this new job can touch and inspire you.
