After some time, the police and many people arrived there. The parents of the man arrived too. They were a white couple, about sixty years old. The mother was crying and screaming, “What happened to my beloved son? Who can do such an evil thing? He was a good guy.”
The father was talking with the police officers. He said arrogantly, “Who is in charge of this investigation?”
A young policeman replied, “The investigation unit still has not arrived. I don’t know who is in charge.”
He said with indignation, “That’s absurd! My family pays the wages of all of you. We deserve more respect.”
“Sir, I understand your pain, but there are few investigators.”
He replied nervously, “This is unacceptable! You must do something!”
A male voice said, “They are doing what they can. Keep calm.”
The man turned and saw a black man, about sixty years old. He said with contempt, “Are you Daniel? What are you doing here? Did you come to say that you warned me?”
“I didn’t come to do it. I came to see your reaction. And you reacted as I imagined.”
